Behind The Fork
Start™ is owned by Erin and Mike McKool, who live in Dallas, Texas with their little boy. Start™ is the realization of Erin’s dream to create a restaurant/bakery/coffee shop that nourishes people with delicious, whole food. Erin’s husband and his two amazing children, Raney and Jack (now grown), collaborated with her for several years to develop the concept that eventually became Start™. They, and their friends, have been and will continue to be, Erin’s guinea pigs in her quest for the perfect cookie. Start is immensely grateful for the help and guidance of its talented director of operations, Frank LaRocca.
